Happy (almost) New Year, friends and comrades 👋
This past year has been a whirlwind of activity, with unprecedented showings of union power alongside some heartbreaking losses. We’re learning that, through it all: relationships are key. Those in power fuel social isolation, separating us from one another. We must unlearn the norms of rugged individualism that prevent us from asking for help, creating bonds of solidarity, and leveraging our collective power for our mutual survival.
As we step into the new year, we are reminded to hold each other close as we build a path forward together. Do not let the isolation get you: find your people and build together. This work will take practice, but it is the best way through the darkness and the only way to a better future.
