Tech 1010 Newsletter - Issue 48

This letter is being sent on the final day of the year, a time when many of us pause to reflect. Even if we don’t subscribe to the idea of setting formal New Year’s resolutions, it’s hard not to wonder what the year ahead will bring. Though these markers of time may seem arbitrary, they still hold meaning, and there are moments when it feels as if we’re standing at the threshold of something significant—something we can’t yet name.

As working people in class struggle, we must learn to let go of the burden of solving every challenge alone and instead build the collective strength to take action together. We don’t need to have all the answers before we take the first step—the risks we take are worth it because we are not moving forward in isolation.

As Thoreau said, “Things do not change; we change.” It is through our collective action, our willingness to embrace uncertainty, and our commitment to each other that we shape the future ahead.

In solidarity,

Danielle, Mary, and RV (L1010 Staff)
